Planet Media Dunedin Limited is seeking an experienced, driven Sales Manager to lead the Planet Media sales team in its continued success.

Planet Media's core products are Radio One 91 FM and Critical Publications, which produces Critic Magazine as well as a range of other print media including a Student Diary and Wall Planner. Planet Media also has a number of websites, social media and sponsorship products.

PMDL is wholly owned by the Otago University Students' Association (OUSA) which provides a diverse range of services to its student members at the University of Otago. The OUSA is an autonomous body with registered charity status and independence from the University.

Reporting to OUSA/ PMDL General Manager, your principal duties will be to manage and motivate the sales team, maximise revenue from existing business, develop sales strategies designed to increase new business.

You will have:

• Proven experience as a people manager in a highly competitive business environment
• A high level of partnering, problem solving, communication and business acumen
• Strong networking capabilities
• The ability to drive the sales team to meet and where possible exceed sales targets
• The ability to identify and grow new business opportunities
• The ability to co-ordinate your own and others’ workflows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The successful candidate will have experience and can point to results in sales management, preferably youth/ media sales management

Remuneration is subject to negotiation.
